Revisions is the second album from the unreleased 60s band Prufrock. The first album, Visions, was recorded in 1967 and was first released on authentic vinyl in 2007 through RD Records. To the record collector's market, Visions developed a following and sold very well. Visions is now on CD. In 1981 and 1982 the band reformed to record Revisions, an impressive blend of rock and orchestration. There was no intention to ever release Revisions, as it was produced by Tom Lubin as an on-going workshop project while he was Head of Audio Instruction at the Institute of Audio/ Video Engineering. In mid 2008 Revisions was released. Revision was the result of numerous sessions. It features dozens of the hottest up-and-coming session players in LA at the time, working with Prufrock to create outstanding productions of an eclectic collection of great songs including the gun control anthem Smokin' Gun. Five of these tracks were later re-purposed as a demo for Nia Peeples. Three of the five with entirely new lyrics. We hope if you discover Purfrock that you will tell your friends about the band and it's music. |
